Hello!

Yes, I’m alive. And it’s a new update, huzzah! Truth is, while it may be (very/extremely) infrequent, I haven’t given up on the comics and I don’t plan to. They just can’t be my priority right now, so I’ll continue to try to update when I can. But onto the comic…

Has anyone else ever done this?

Thanks to EatToast, who drew this and put it on my table at InterventionCon while I was home with that huge fever I mentioned. It’s been said by some that this comic pretty much sums up every System comic on the site. I’ll leave that to you the viewer to decide.

EatToast is an amazing artist who is also involved with Super Art Fight, where she dresses in this amazing costume and performs as an artist. Then afterwards she does hilarious post-game interviews (see video below).

Also, I posted a few interesting things over at my Tumblr account. I drew something cool and made two poster-looking things. You should go check them out here.

Much like the last comic, this comic was written as part of a collaboration with my good friends Lindsay and Marty. I can’t say for sure which one of us wrote it, let’s just say we traded off words. Lindsay does amazing coffee-themed tote bags, wallets, belts and other such things. Marty does the nerd news blog Blast-O-Rama. Both are worth a click.

Sorry for the lack of any real post-substance on Tuesday (and the fact that the comic was up Tuesday and not Monday), but the weekend in NYC at New York Comic Con killed me pretty fiercely. I’m planning to write more about it in the future, but in the meantime thanks to all of you who came by the table! The fans who said hi, the new people who found the comic, and the other comic-friends who bothered to come by. The weekend was a huge success, and I’ll definitely be going back next year.

Super Art Fight 8: This Friday!

If you are anywhere in the viscinity of Baltimore or DC, you should make your way to Baltimore’s The Ottobar on Friday night for an event I help put on called SUPER ART FIGHT 8 with special musical guest, nerdcore rapper MC FRONTALOT. You can get all the info you need on why this is awesome and tickets here. The short version? It’s somewhere between Pictionary and Pro Wrestling, with all your favorite artists fighting to the death for your approval. If that doesn’t get you interested, I don’t know what will. See you there Friday!

This past week was a week of survival. I had two Super Art Fight shows, a design conference talk, and a full week of work. This next week isn’t looking much better, as Thursday I head to ROFLcon with Super Art Fight. If you’re going, let me know. And bring some cash, as we’ll have some sweet new merch in store.
