The System 706: Metro Disaster
Don’t even try to get around on weekends. Werewolves.
Thank You, Katsucon!
Katsucon was an amazing weekend! I had to go straight from the convention back to work, and it’s a busy week. So as much as I’d love to spend paragraphs and paragraphs telling you guys how awesome all of you are, but I’ll keep it to this. You are awesome.
The System 703: Made it!
So did the crickets I guess.
There’s 4 inches of snow on the ground here in DC and the city is pretty desolate. You know how it is, when it snows. People. Go. Apeshit.
Anyone else’s offices pretty emptied out?
The System 671: Clicking
Every damn day.
The Kickstarter is still going. I could really use your help, I would love to get to $10k before it ends next friday. You want a book, right?

The System 670: Fresh Start
The Kickstarter for book 1 of System comics is still going and could use your help! The latest stretch goals both involve more comics for all:
The System 661: Bike Traffic
I can’t believe there are enough cyclists on the road in DC to actually have bicycle traffic. Anyone else encounter this?
Connecticon This Weekend!
That’s right! This weekend I’ll be a guest at Connecticon, where The System first premiered five years ago. A fifth anniversary of awesomeness. So be sure to come visit my table and say hello, I’ll have more information in tomorrow’s post.
Also stay tuned for a very special update about the first ever BOOK OF SYSTEM COMICS!I’m just waiting on the Kickstarter approval…
The System 649: Bike Sniper
Watch out for that guy. We haven’t seen the bike sniper in a while, but I thought it was time for a comeback.
In our own way, we all need to be bike snipers. You have to be a little on the offense on your bike, assertive enough to not get run over. This guy is pushing those limits, but there’s an element of that in every cyclist on the road. Some wear it on their sleeve more than others.
Vote!
It’s also the final day to vote for “Best/Worst File Name” on Thursday’s comic. Vote, won’t you?
The System 625: Streamline Your Morning Routine
New comic! It’s a little bit of a call back to singletasking and the cuddle clock. I’m rather proud of the shower scene, though. Take that, Saul Bass!
Super Art Fight @ Nerdmelt Tonight, ALSO ONLINE
If you’re in LA, join us. Details are here. If not, we’re streaming the whole thing. Details here. But if I find out any of you in LA aren’t at the show and get lazy and watch online, I’ll come to your house and smack you in the face.
The System 610: More of Everything
It’s true. More cyclists means more of every type of cyclists, including assholes that use bike lanes to go the wrong way on one-way roads. I unfortunately see this all the time.
Of course, it turns out that most cyclists aren’t assholes, it’s mostly cognitive bias that makes people think that. But as George Carlin once said about children, “Kids are like any other group of people: a few winners…a whole lot of losers.”
The System 587: Metro Delays
This weekend, DC travelers had to contend with this. On every line. All weekend. My heart goes out to everyone that doesn’t get to walk, bike or drive to where they’re going, because it’s going to be a while.
We’re in the FINAL DAYS of ordering CATS DON’T CARE for preorder. So far only mostly women’s shirts (and one awesome men’s shirt) have been ordered, so this might be the first all-ladies shirt I make after the preorder. During the preorder, get whatever you want. We’ll see what happens. If you want yours for only $15 in any size you need, better order now.
