Graphic Design Meets Super Villainy
One of my daily webcomic reads is a comic called Evil Inc. by Brad “Wigwam” Guigar. It centers around a corporation of evil super villains who sell products and services to other super villains. The man has a way with puns that rivals my own, in a way that is the same time cheeky and groan inducing (Brad, I honestly mean that in the best way). While the artwork is always good, the story line joke-based and interesting, and the recently-added color work tight and refreshing, I’m mentioning it today because of the most recent storyline on the site.
Starting this week, one of the characters, a super hero named Captain Heroic, has returned to his overlooked career of freelance graphic design for extra money. Hilarity has since ensued. The story line starts here, and is still going strong.
It’s also worth pointing out that Brad is also Editor-in-Chief behind Webcomics.com, and his colorist Ed is behind the site Tragically Geek (and the comic Geek Tragedy).*
*Every time I write “Tragedy” it looks like I spelled it wrong.
