Do you know who Ryan Estrada is?  (HINT: He wasn’t on C.H.I.P.S.) He’s a cartoonist, a webcartoonist at that, and has been around and had more projects than anyone I know (probably most famous Ryan Estrada Day, where he pretty much took over the internet). The man must draw faster than I can copy and paste, I swear. Well two of his projects need your help!

First up, Ryan has a comic up for voting at Zuda Comics.  Now that the dust has settled after everyone decided to hate on Zuda, and it turns out it isn’t such a bad deal. So help a brother out, check out this comic, and vote for him.  If you do and put a comment on the site, he’ll even do a drawing of whatever it is that you comment for FREE.  Because he’s that CRAAAAZY. Apparently last time out he lost by 2 votes. TWO votes! Don’t let one of those be you missing out. LINK.

So why is he working with Zuda? Turns out he’s going to turn around to use the money to help get voice acting for his feature-length animated film that he’s working on.  It’s a love story about a werewolf, and beyond that you can read more on the website. I can’t release names, but he is in talks with some big name actors, and ones that are fans of The System will be sure to appreciate. By putting some money towards it, you can even make an appearance in the movie.  Here’s all the details on getting involved.  LINK.

Yesterday’s comic, The System 333: Full Gadget Ratio has been doing quite well for itself. It made it to the front of Reddit for a hot second, has spread around pretty well on Twitter, etc. However, a bunch of people more mathy than I, thinking I’m secretly trying to be XKCD (hint: XKCD has yet to do a comic about crop marks and bleed), are having some trouble with the equation. Fair, since I spend too much time on the graphic and little on making the equation work. Case in point:

Why take so much time on the graphic only to have such a poorly thought out equation?

I’m not normally one to obsess over others’ comments on the comic, but they have a valid point. Systemics, let’s give this chart an equation to be proud of! Given the variables at hand, help me come up with something better. Use whatever units of measurement you feel appropriate and all the information at hand, and post them here in the comments. I’ll update this chart and give credit where due the best I can. In fact, I’ll be picking at random one of the people who helps in the comments to get a FREE PRINT of this comic from our store, HilariAwesome.com!

UPDATE: It’s been a while, I know. Congrats to Systemic Harris who submitted an awesome entry that will be reflected in the original post, and will also be receiving a print of this comic! Check out the original comic to see the mathy update.

Yes, System in the Wild is back!  Here is one new and some old posts that haven’t gone up in a while.  Find any The System related graphics, and send them in!  I’ll post them on the site when I can.  Systemcomic at gmail is the place to send, where I read every email that comes in.  While you’re at it, say hi!

First up is Systemic (and Twitter user) Hexink, who sent this in to me via The Tweepers. “Looks like your comic is integral to speech” he says.  Especially when that comic adds to your vocabulary, sir.  LINK.

Next up is Systemic Christina.  This is from Silver Spring, MD where pedestrians share the paths with penguins, apparently.  (No link here, as the rest of the pic doesn’t really give you anything that isn’t in this picture.)

Systemic (and webcomic fellow) Carter sent in this one a while back.  Worth clicking through, to see the rest of the steps to know what to do when there is a MOUNTAIN LION TRYING TO ATTACK YOU.  Consider this a public service message.  LINK.

That’s it for this round, Systemics!  I’m bringing back action items for you guys to get involved, so stay tuned!  Keep sending in those images, all.

I want to give you Systemics, who showed so much great work in the Murderdog Contest, a chance to get more involved in the site. For the next couple of weeks, we will be posting a comic each week for you Systemics to rewrite / remix / reimagine.  You send them over to me at systemcomic at gmail dot com, and the best one gets posted on the site.

To start, we’ll be using The System 99. I even posted it here wordless (if that’s where you’d like to start).  We’ll post the winner next Friday, the 25th. Happy Systeming!

Remember when I asked you guys to help post a rating of The System on RateItAll?  At the time, I promised an awesome image as thanks for the help.  I emailed them out last night, but wanted to let you guys know what you missed by not doing my bidding.  I’m afraid the little guy you see above is all you get, but I assure you there’s more.  Next time, you’ll just have to participate in further Systemic actions.

Quick Epilogue: The System is #1 on the RateItAll list of Webcomics! WOO!
