Systemic Ken sends in this old school 1950’s “Duck and Cover” video that has been largely parodied throughout popular culture.  If the bomb comes, and you ain’t dead, apparently you should duck and cover because an animated turtle told you to.  Makes sense to me.

None of this Studio DC crap.  Not a half-hearted commercial.  This is full on Muppet on Muppet action.  Here is one video that was going nuts on Twitter and such yesterday, but from there are a TON more videos, all in HD, all new and posted yesterday.  If you’re a Muppet fan, you have to check this out (if you haven’t already).

There’s a lot more video on their YouTube page, including a few great sketches, and a few playlists that if you squint your eyes feel like you’re watching The Muppet Show again.  They even have Rowlf in it, who hasn’t been in much in a while (did you notice he didn’t have any lines in Muppets From Space?).  LINK TO MORE.

At the SAME TIME!  If you don’t know who Milton Glaser is, check this out.  (NOTE: I once lost my shit over a Milton Glaser poster at the MoMA).

So there’s a book out there called Pictorial Websters. To put it simply, it’s a book of artwork from the engravings of Websters from the 1800’s. In other words, a look into the past. But as this video shows, it’s really a work of love and art. If you’re a book designer, print designer, print maker, book binder, or just like cool shit, you’ll be entranced in this video about it’s 10-year creation as I have been.

I’m guessing lots of you are already BoingBoingers, but this is from a recent BoingBoing post. For those not familiar with Chris Ware’s work, he is a cartoonist with a very exacting eye, and a love for things simplistic, geometric, and somehow oddly delicate.  His books like Acme Novelty Library and Jimmy Corrigan are worth the time and money a couple times over.  He has also been viewed as somewhat of a graphic designer, as he insists on laying out his own work (and book covers), and has even done cover illustrations for some pretty big magazines.

You’ve probably seen/heard of Jami “Angry Zen Master” Noguchi. He worked on the set of this Sci-Fi TV pilot test preview thingy, and is even in it as the asian doctor dude in the middle.  He also did the visual effects stuff in some way or another.  Point is he is awesome and I’d watch this show.  Would you watch it?

I saw Paul “Ugly Hill” Southworth post this on The Twitters, and had to share.

A while back, @POWCGeek put out on Twitter a call for webcomics to review.  “Why not?” I thought.  Apparently, this is why not.
