Systemic J. Gough sent word of this scary jet-powered death bike, a great followup to the Tallest and Fastest Bike Stories I posted back in April. Also this comic about speeding.

Watching him ride on a flat tire is scary, I almost died that way once (though there were no jets involved).

This one is from Systemic Alex:

Whoever came up with this one was a genius.

Well Alex, garuanteed it wasn’t the jerks at 9GAG (where you found the link). In fact, TinEye.com tells me it was JohnSu (here’s his DeviantArt). I’m not going to link to 9GAG, they don’t need any help. Check out JohnSu’s stuff, would you?

I respect a women's right to choose whether or not she wants a muffin.

So tonight got interesting. I got home and was following the #SB5 coverage in Texas (abortion laws, filibusters, etc.) and saw this tweet:

So I posted this:

Clearly that got a little out of hand. (Thanks for sharing it, guys! Actually happened.) We’re all still figuring out what’s happening, but right now in this day and age I didn’t think to turn on my TV (which got paused on Netflix 4 hours ago and I never went back) I just turned to Twitter and Facebook. I’ve been watching the YouTube stream and now Christopher DiDo’s uStream ever since. I’ll update more in the morning or something.

Be sure to floss between the gears.

Doctors and bike mechanics, always telling you you’re not doing it right.

Is it just me? I fill my tires once a week and got scolded by the mechanic for not doing it 2-3 times a week. In the past I’ve been scolded for having my bike in the rain (I was riding it at the time), locking it up outside (I was inside at the time), and, my personal favorite, riding on bumpy roads. I didn’t make the roads, mechanic dude. I just ride them.

This ever happen to you?
