There was another ending where there was humping at the end.

I was talking this one over with my friend Clay and almost had a big ending around humping. In the end, this felt right.

What’s your favorite office cliché?

It's snowy here.

So did the crickets I guess.

There’s 4 inches of snow on the ground here in DC and the city is pretty desolate. You know how it is, when it snows. People. Go. Apeshit.

Anyone else’s offices pretty emptied out?

And I will whisper

Even in the face of Armageddon I shall not compromise in this.

Check THAT twice.

I’ve been grumpy lately. This comic started as the actual list (only had about 30 on it before I got bored), and I think it’s better to imagine it. Or, to let YOU GUYS write the list in the comments! What is annoying the hell out of you?

Oh, and I have a ridiculous moustache this month, in support of Movember (raising awareness and money for men’s health / cancer research). Here it is so far:

Yeah. It’s something. SUPPORT MY STACHE / MOVEMBER HERE.

The System 579: Lucky 2.0

What else used to be really hard not that long ago?

Also, I had an AMAZING time at ROFLcon, thanks to all who came out for the show! I’ll post more about it soon.

The System 506: Office Forecast

This started as a joke about how hot it is outside and cold in most offices, and then turned into this. Steve’s a jerk.

The System 503: Breaking Routine

Thanks to all who came to Super Art Fight in DC this past weekend! We had a great show. The highlight for me was rapping on stage. As I mentioned on Twitter, I sang a fair amount of Partners in Kryme’s hit T-U-R-T-L-E POWER. And luckily for you, there’s video evidence:

Comicsgirl also posted what’s probably the best recap of what it’s like to attend a Super Art Fight show. Check out her review here. My favorite part was how she described the commentary. It’s not my favorite because it’s about me, it’s my favorite because I think she nailed it:

Nover, along with fellow host Marty Day, kept the action moving. They have a teasing and affable rapport with each other and are always willing to just keep making jokes. Their reactions are part of what make the show so great — they have the perfect combination of quick wits and bafflement about what they’re seeing being drawn and really pull the audience into the action. (Nover also treated the audience to a rendition of Vanilla Ice’s “Ninja Rap” from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle II. I would love to tell you it made sense at the time — although, it almost did — but mostly, it was impressive he remembered as much of it as he did.)

Unfortunately, it was actually from TMNT 1. Still a great review.

The System 498: Infinibox

I was going for a kind of “Ouroboros of inboxes” vibe with that third panel. Pretty happy with it actually!

For those feeling like they can relate, check out this other comic I did about Sisyphus. Or, for that matter, this one on THE EMAIL PROCESS. What can I say, I have an Existentialist streak in me sometimes, though lately I’m thinking Stoicism is more my jazz. Funny since I don’t know how many Stoics would really go to a Coltrane show…

So in other news, I’m going out of town! For the next two weeks, I will be out of the country visiting the UK. While I’m not going to any sort of desolate lands (except Wales) you can expect little to no interaction from me in the meantime. That doesn’t mean the site won’t be updating, as some very kind people have provided guest comics via a last-minute plea on The Twitters. I hope you enjoy them, but if you do or don’t, you can expect more comics from Rosscott as well as the epic 500th comic upon my return on June 9th (though per our update schedule, June 10th).

And while this might not be clear, ALL HILARIAWESOME.COM ORDERS BETWEEN NOW AND JUNE 9th WILL NOT SHIP OR BE PROCESSED UNTIL MY RETURN. Feel free to order, but be aware that I can’t ship things while I’m gone, and this is, for the moment, a one-man operation.
