This video is totally awesome, funny, and a little sad. Amazing storytelling.

Thanks to Systemic MichaelK42 for posting a link to this awesomeness in the (still raging) comments section of the “Bike Rep” comic from Friday. Too great to not share and bring up. Thanks, MichaelK42!

Next up is an infographic spotted about the overuse of infographics that aren’t really more than a chart or graph with some pretty colors on top. This is only the top section to give you a taste, go check out more here. LINK »

He could use some of that sight beyond sight.

He could use some of that "sight beyond sight."

Amazing illustrator / comicker / colorist Dean Trippe has put together a series of images that are pretty much what they sound like. Here’s the first in the series, and pretty much gives you an idea of what you’re in for. LINK »

I read all the comments and emails that come in. I’m not one of these sunglasses-wearing hot shots that relies on interns or something.  No, it is me in the trenches making things happen.  This is why it warms my heart when I see comments like this on the site:

pegpeg66: i hope you dont mind but i used the basis of your Ross’s law (the faster the cumputer the faster it will crash or something similar to that) on a social studies test. the sad part? it made sense to the question.

NO I do not mind! In fact, that’s awesome!  What’s also awesome is that this law is now on Urban Dictionary, thanks to one of you amazing readers. That is a citable source an therefore up for usage on any and all Social Studies tests. And if you really love it that much, get Comic #197 as a print in the Hilariawesome store!

The System 303: What We’ve Learned Lately

Here is that recap I promised, in the same vein as #100 and #200.  As I said in the post on #300, thank you all for reading, commenting, sending in System in the Wild posts, and doing all the little things you do to support The System.  I notice.

Remember, this, along with all comics, can be purchased as a comic print through HilariAwesome.com! This one comes out to a Super A3/B print (13″ x 19″ paper for all you laymen) that is high quality poster awesomeness.  It may be way bigger than the normal comic, but it’s still the same $10 at HilariAwesome.com!

UPDATE: Systemic Lextrical put together a little “magic bean”, a piece of music based upon this comic. Here it is!

Every day, Jessica Hische beautifully illustrates a letter to be used as a drop cap. Wonderfully diverse and unique illustration and typography all at the same time. And a new one every day! I’m pretty enticed by the whole thing, I gotta say.  LINK.

If you ever see cool stuff like this, let me know through systemcomic at gmail, and I’ll post it on the site and give you credit.  It’s what we’re all about here at Rosscott, Inc.

The Exploded website is amazing.

These are internals of actual equipment. We buy items, usually via eBay or Craigslist, and we take them apart. Sometimes this requires special tools. Then we photograph the pieces and meticulously render them in Adobe Illustrator. Troy Paiva and Garry Booth are two of the skilled artists who have ‘exploded’ designs for us.

They are amazing to look at and I’m sure they’d be amazing to buy, either for yourself or for me. Link.

I’ve been meaning to post this video for about a week, but other posts got in the way. Anyway, from BoingBoing, here is the most badass thing you’ll see all day.

Btw I’m feeling slightly conflicted that the words “blow” and “face” will now show up on a search for my site, but I’ll deal with it.

UPDATE! Want TWO FREE TICKETS to the show?  See below!

I do not talk enough about Super Art Fight on my own website.  Let’s start with the basics.  Super Art Fight is a live event that is part graffiti art jam, part wrestling match, and part rock show.  If this doesn’t already entice you, I don’t think you’re a big fan of my comic.  Want more?  Here’s a video from a previous show (I’m the one in the amazingly blue jacket).

Do I have your attention now?  Good.  I know you’re thinking, when and how can I go to one of these amazing looking shows? The answer is THURSDAY.  That’s right, the night before Otakon, you can attend Super Art Fight 4 at The Ottobar, this Thursday night.

Buy tickets ($10 each)?  Here.

More info?  Here.

More videos?  Here.

Can’t make it but still jazzed about the whole thing?  The artists draw exclusively from suggestions that are given by the audience both in person and online.  You can submit ideas for things to draw on the “big submission post” right here. We’ll be posting vids and pics afterwards, so you’ll see how it turns out.

Oh, and here’s one more video of Nick pimping out the show.

So you’ve made it this far, and you are wondering about the free tickets? It’s simple! Email me (systemcomic at gmail) with:

  • Post TWO Art Fight suggestions as mentioned above, as well as mentioned here (but email them to me, like I just said).
  • A link to your favorite The System comic
  • Subject line: SUPER ART FIGHT

That’s it! Then you’re entered to win. Winners chosen Wednesday night.  Email me / comment on this post with questions.
