The System 439: Creative Distance

Is this true for you? Where is your best work done?
Moustaches Turn Lazy Into Classy
In honor of Movember, I’m trying to raise some money to cure prostate cancer. How am I doing this? Again I’ve paired up with the amazing Bryan Prindiville and we tweaked the amazing “Beards turn laziness into awesomeness” into the new and improved “Moustaches turn lazy into classy”. If you buy either one, I’ll be donating $10 / shirt to help stop cancer, and you get a shirt!
So help me spread the word and let’s KICK CANCER’S ASS.
GO CHECK OUT THE SHIRT AND BUY IT HERE.

I don’t think that’s what his boss accomplish-meant. GET IT?
So what did you accomplish this week?

The System 437: Sagan Overdose

November 9th would have been the 76th birthday of known turtle neck fanatic, TV personality and science-type thinker Carl Sagan. Be careful though, too much Sagan can be dangerous. Still, this video on its own does not exceed the recommended Sagan-dosage:
Makes you wonder what would counteract too much Sagan. So I’ll put this out there to you guys, what would counteract Carl Sagan? Is it like matter and anti-matter? Is there an anti-Sagan? A nega-Sagan? Or is it more like chocolate and vanilla, where it would be more of a Richard Feynman kinda thing? YOUR ANSWERS IN THE COMMENTS!
The System 429: No Accounting

This one ranks up there with “no tit for tat” for me in the bad pun department.
UPDATE: You may have to refresh the page / feed to see the comic. Some uploading trouble caused a slight issue that was resolved after your reader may have loaded the post.
Also, any purchases of original prints / posters through the end of this month will have money donated to breast cancer research! Especially the last comic on breasts and typefaces. Just place any order from http://www.hilariawesome.com/ for any comic print and I’ll do the rest. At the end of the month I’ll post a tally of how it goes.
Sorry for just announcing this, I just had the idea and thought it might help.

See you in NYC!
I’m going to be at NYCC this weekend in New York City, sharing a table with Hawk of Applegeeks! Come find me in Artist Alley, I’ll have a table and everything. WILL I SEE YOU THERE? The correct answer is “yes and I’m going to give you money.”
I’ll have some new prints, comic prints, and shirts galore from my online store, HilariAwesome.com.
I’m on ZDNet
I’ve been working with Systemic SkawtNYC to reformat and create comics to go along with his blog posts over at ZDNet’s Tech Broiler. Today is one of those days where I did that. Be sure to check out his extremely detailed and well thought out posts for more of my comics. LINK »

The System 420: More Future World Problems

Seriously, how sick are you of #FutureWorldProblems right now? Not at all? GOOD. I figured we’d wrap up this week-and-a-half of guest comics with one more comic on topic from me, just to ease us back into our normal insanity. Thanks to Dern from Hello With Cheese, who was with me driving back from NJ when I wrote this, and contributed to it in the kind of back-and-forth writing I don’t normally get to do with other artists as much as I’d like.
Thanks again to everyone who submitted comics for #FutureWorldProblems! I still have a few that I know I haven’t posted, we’ll get to those soon. In the meantime, hope you enjoyed this comic and I’ll see you all on Friday.
Thanks to:
- Bill “All New Issues” Ellis
- Michael “Orneryboy” Lalonde
- Ami “Glass Urchin” B
- H Caldwell “Loldwell” Tanner
- Jamie “In His Likeness” Hatton
- Justin from “Left-Handed Toons”
- and Chris “Sledgebunny” Impink

The System 414: Backing Up

A special public service announcement from your friends at The System. By the way if this comic looks familiar, it ran as part of an article on ZDnet thanks to Systemic SkawtNYC, who is now a blogger over there. I reformat and sometimes write him comics for his blog posts, which has been great to invite people over to the site. If you’re coming over because of that, hello! Otherwise you should check out his blog here, it’s pretty interesting stuff.
Remember, I’ll be at InterventionCon this coming weekend with many goods for sale. Be sure to stop by my table and say hi, even if you don’t plan on purchasing anything. If you find me at the con, be sure to let me know that you’ve already read the comic. Current readers get free stuff! The secret password is “tacos”.
For that matter, I’ll be on a few events as part of SUPER ART FIGHT which we’re doing as part of the con. The confirmed events so far are our full live event on Saturday and an “after dark” SAF show that night that is sure to be interesting, and R-rated in nature. We’re letting Noguchi use all his 4-letter words, so that will not be something to miss. Be sure to come see those too!
The System 413.5: The New iTunes

UPDATE: mig25 just pointed out there was already a “413” so I made this one “413.5” since at this point many are based on this sequence already. If seeing a half-number is really throwing you, close your eyes, click next, and think of England.
I updated the Appearances and About pages. If you can make it to any of the upcoming conventions and other events in the next couple of weeks, let me know!
The System 409: Commuting with Nature

Thanks so much for all the love on the last comic guys. It is very much noticed and appreciated. Feel free to share it wherever you think it might be best submitted as well, if you so choose.
As for this one, not much to say. Started a new job today and I’m exhausted. Check out the last comic post and help out the comic by buying some things and doing some stuff. See you Wednesday!
