The System 815: Books
From Wikipedia:
Tsundoku (Japanese: 積ん読) is acquiring reading materials but letting them pile up in one’s home without reading them. The term originated in the Meiji era (1868–1912) as Japanese slang. It combines elements of tsunde-oku (積んでおく, to pile things up ready for later and leave) and dokusho (読書, reading books).

Did I miss any?
If you like that “Google it” panel, it’s from “TO THE GOOGLES!” which was featured in the See something? Cite something. comic and then put on t-shirts that are totally for sale!

How to Be Interesting (in 10 Simple Steps)
Amazing chart-artist (chartist?) Jessica Hagy, who has previously done guest comics for The System, has come out with a new book with Workman Publishing called How To Be Interesting (In 10 Simple Steps). If you’ve ever read her blog This Is Indexed, this book is everything you love about her comic (“written as the coffee brews”) but with the time and thought given to give her thoughts time to mature into bigger ideas. There’s even a tumblr with some highlights (http://how2beinteresting.tumblr.com/) that you can follow to see some of the highlights.
No, I haven’t read the book yet, but I don’t have to in order to know it’s going to be good. Jessica is a very smart cookie, and you should buy her book because you’re gonna like it.

The System 488: Ask The System
I’ve always wondered about self-referential things like this. Web sites about how to make web sites. Television shows about TV. Blogs about other blogs. And yeah, go cats.
Stay tuned, later today I’m posting a really long thing about web design and webcomics. Today’s the day.

Remember as I said Saturday, any purchases of original prints / posters through the end of this month will have money donated to breast cancer research! Especially the last comic on breasts and typefaces. Just place any order from http://www.hilariawesome.com/ for any comic print and I’ll do the rest. At the end of the month I’ll post a tally of how it goes.
Speaking of Saturday, I didn’t get to a comic on Friday but did post it on Saturday. If you didn’t get a chance to see it, I recommend it. You should check it out here.
The System 412: Literary
Literary douchebags are going to literally hate me after this one.
Do you know any literary douchebags? What are they like? Should that square shouldered guy be the new international symbol for “douchebag”? Discuss in the comments.
SOME SYSTEMIC ACTIONS (Things you can do!)
I would really like to know what The Grammar Nazi’s costume looks like. If someone puts that together (or multiple people do) I’ll post the creme de la creme on the site. Just email them to me at systemcomic@gmail.com, and I’ll send the best one a little present from HilariAwesome.com (our online store.)
Still trying to get a SXSW panel! If you help vote for mine and leave a comment that would really help out. You have to register through their site first, but they don’t send you any emails unless you ask them to. If I see 20 comments on that page (there’s 18 now) I promised a piece of custom artwork here on the site. I’ll do it, too! Of course, more than 20 is better… Unfortunately voting is closed, but thanks to all who tried! I’ll be sure to post on the site when I hear something.
It’s the last day for the preorder sale of Venn F%*king Diagrams T-Shirts, so get your orders in now!
