The System 767: T-Shirts
Every t-shirt mashup site I know. Me, Jamie, Mikey, Marty, and Brandon were talking and I felt compelled to make this.

The System 739: John Venn
Today would be John Venn (creator of the Venn Diagram)’s 180th birthday. There’s even a “Google Doodle” celebrating him.
If you really like Venn Diagrams, check out these other comics with Venn Diagrams in them. And even on a shirt!

The Top 6 Reasons This Infographic Is Just Wrong Enough to Sound Convincing
A little back story:
Zach “Zach Weinersmith” Weiner was looking for someone to help make his idea for this infographic a reality, and I was lucky enough to fit the bill thanks to some work I’d done with College Humor and, yknow, charts. So to be clear, Zach wrote this start to finish, and I did the design work to make it look awesome and real and stuff.
It went up on SMBC Comics earlier this week, and since has showed up on Slate! Oh, and Ezra “BAMF” Klein tweeted:
6 reasons this infographic is wrong, in one infographic: http://t.co/DGwyHiO6HE

Of course if you’d like to buy this chart as a poster, you should click here and make your dreams a reality.
So if you make webcomics and want to make a chart together, apparently you should talk to me.

The System 577: Restraints
I was brainstorming with my friend Amy, and we came up with a bunch more:
- People either think what you do is awesome or scratch their head and walk away
- Nobody expects to pay for it
- Involves lots of berating
- Nobody gets the dress code
- You always have to beat the client into submission
Also, I had to look up the plural of “dominatrix”. There’s two theories, and honestly the math minor in me wanted to go with “dominatricies” but this is the more colloquial answer.

The System 470: Chisel-Tip Sharpei
Happy Monday, all! I’m just back from Katsucon, the first big convention of the year. A total blast at that! Here are some Katsucon highlights:
- Hanging out with old friends like Kev and Blondie (of the super-crazy Caf-Fiends), Marty (my co-host and writer of my nerd-source for news) and Nick (whose new comic is really coming together nicely) and Lindsay (who makes great coffee-related crafts), Jami (creator of Puppy Cow, yes I’m working on the book), Brian the official Super Art Fight photographer, Oni and Harknell, Kelsey (who scares me with her ugly Pokemon drawings), Bracco (the pimpiest shirt salesman I know), Chris and Barb and SAF logistics wizard Mike George (who has no website). Oh and Dern.
- Hanging out with new friends like Dani and Bill (creators of the great comic All New Issues) and Danielle “Girls With Slingshots” Corsetto. Getting to know artists is half the fun of conventions for me, since we get to commiserate on all the less fun parts of spending so much time comicking as well as the successes that happen along the way. And drinking.
- Chilling after hours with everyone drawing things that should not be named. Cartoonists after hours never stop drawing, and I never laugh as hard as I do being a part of these one-upmanship sessions.
- Our Super Art Fight show on Saturday. We had six amazing artists compete, including Frank “Liberty Meadows” Cho, who was kind enough to draw me and Marty as drag queens for the audience. I hear that artwork went for some good money in the Celebrity auction, which means that someone wants a picture of me in a bikini on their wall.
- Of course, to all of you who came by the table and came to Super Art Fight. Whether you bought something or not, thanks for coming by and saying hello. It’s nice to meet the people that read it, and I love the chance to talk about the thing I love doing (this comic) with people who love reading it. Thank you!
Hope to see all of you at future cons. This season is still coming together, but if you want me to attend a particular convention, drop me a message on Twitter or in the comments. See you Wednesday!

Much like the last comic, this comic was written as part of a collaboration with my good friends Lindsay and Marty. I can’t say for sure which one of us wrote it, let’s just say we traded off words. Lindsay does amazing coffee-themed tote bags, wallets, belts and other such things. Marty does the nerd news blog Blast-O-Rama. Both are worth a click.
More on this project soon enough.

Ever navigate using the tags with each post? I do a pretty good job on sorting them. Check it out!
This is actually going to be the featured graphic on my new set of business cards I was working on the other night. This and 3 others like it. I figured you shouldn’t have to see me to see how awesome this is, right?
Btw! If you ever submit a comic to Reddit, Digg, whatever, post the link to the submission in the comments so others can help it out! Big surges in traffic from those sorts of things really helps me get the comic out there, and does wonders for my always-fragile ego.
