The System 676: The Weekend
Sundays personified.
Note that there is in fact a pile tag on my site. In case you want to read more comics about piles.
SPX was this weekend.
It was amazing. I didn’t have a table and got to walk around a bit, which was super fun.

The System 667: On Getting Shit Done
There is a magical point where having more to do makes you more productive. But there’s also a point where you just give up. This is also known as the “Tetris principle”.
Kickstarter Off To A Great Start
We are well on our way with the Kickstarter to support the printing of comics 1-200 of The System into a book, and have started to announce some great stretch goals to help keep things moving. The larger the amount we raise, the better the stretch goals!
You can check out all the stretch goals, all the rewards, and a hilarious outtakes video of me trying to record the “explanation video”, all right here.

The System 626: Exasturbation
I’m still deciding if I’m really going to make the next comic about “procrasturbation”. Also, thanks to Systemics Marty and Grace for help figuring out how to write this one. I can’t say it took the whole month but I was a little stuck.

In an ongoing effort to pretend to be a rock star, the Super Art Fight crew (including myself) is playing a show in Washington, DC at the legendary Black Cat rock club! I couldn’t be more excited. February 22nd, 9:30pm doors, $12 tickets, all ages. More details and info on preorders here.
I’m talking about comics and stuff in Baltimore!
I’m giving a talk called “How Comics Can Make Us Better Designers” to the web/design/development community in Baltimore as part of “Refresh Baltimore” on February 26th. It’ll be based upon but a revised and awesomer version of the talk I gave at Refresh last fall. It’s free. You should come! Here’s the EventBrite. Here’s the other details.
I’d love to see some Systemics in the crowd, and I’ll have time to answer all the questions people have on design and comics and stuff. Let me know if you can make it!

Has your future self ever come back in time to stop you from doing something? Or have you ever wish they had?
Howdy New Systemics!
Anyway, a couple important things! First of all, thanks to everyone visiting the site after SXSW. If I met you or you saw one of my talks or you picked up a card, say a quick hello in the comments. I’ll do more of a full writeup about the trip in a separate post that people who are sick of hearing about my trip can more easily ignore.
Looking for more System Remixes

Moustaches Turn Lazy Into Classy
In honor of Movember, I’m trying to raise some money to cure prostate cancer. How am I doing this? Again I’ve paired up with the amazing Bryan Prindiville and we tweaked the amazing “Beards turn laziness into awesomeness” into the new and improved “Moustaches turn lazy into classy”. If you buy either one, I’ll be donating $10 / shirt to help stop cancer, and you get a shirt!
So help me spread the word and let’s KICK CANCER’S ASS.
